WHAT'S ON AT THE ENGLISH WINE AND FOOD FESTIVAL
Wine tastings
Vineyards from across the region will be offering tastings of their wines with an array of white, rosé, red and sparkling wines, also some spirits, to choose from. Talk to the winemakers to get first hand knowledge of how their products are made and how best to enjoy them. Wines by the glass and bottles of wine will be available for sale from the vineyard stands.
Tutored wine tastings – learn to appreciate three different English still and sparkling wines with expert tutoring from Patricia Stefanowicz, Master of Wine and Yannick Joseph, Head Butler of St. John’s College Oxford in our Tutored Tasting Tent.
- Start times (35 mins each) – 12:00, 13:10, 14:20, 15:30
- Tickets – £10 each on the day from the festival entrance
- Number of participants per session – 16
Food
There will be a great selection of hot and cold street food stalls selling locally sourced and produced meals. Choose from a hog roast, pizzas, sandwiches and more.
You'll also find a market of local artisan food producers selling their wares – to consume on site or take home (if you can keep from nibbling your purchases!)
THE PROGRAMME
The programme for the 2022 festival contains all the detail on the wines, ciders, and even a brandy (and everything else going on!)
A printed version will be given to you with your tasting tickets at the festival entrance.
live Music
Following the huge popularity of The Coverbuoys at last year’s festival, we are delighted to welcome them back for both days at this year’s festival.
Rory and Oli will be singing a wide range of popular songs over four sessions throughout the day to put you in that 'summer swinging' mood!
More Refreshments
Throughout the day other stands will be selling beer, cider and non alcoholic drinks. Wines by the glass and bottles of wine will be available to buy from the vineyard stands.
Fresh tap drinking water will be available throughout the festival.
